El Pitayo Mexican Restaurant
FAIRFIELD – New to Fairfield, this modest family-owned restaurant offers fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine with friendly service at reasonable prices.

The menu at first glance appears limited, however it features house specialties such as Tinga (shredded chicken with chipotle sauce), Mole Poblaño and Salmon a la Parilla. They also serve chilaquiles, carne asada tacos and pollo con crema.

I highly recommend the Ensalada de Camarones (shrimp salad) and the Mini Carne Asada Quesadillas. Both were excellent, satisfying meals. Also worth mentioning are their tasty Chilies Relleno and handmade tortillas.
