Dixon Lambtown Festival 2017
Sat. Oct 7, 2017 - Sun. Oct 8, 2017$5
DIXON – Celebrate and learn about all things lamb at the 31st Annual Lambtown Festival! This year’s live entertainment will feature Swing and Brazilian Jazz bands. In addition, craft and fiber booths, a variety of classes, pony rides for kids, and various competitions will round out the event. The Black Sheep Vintage Market will be set up and offer new and repurposed items along with antiques, unique treasures, memorabilia, and an array of handcrafted items from over 30 hand-selected vendors.
On Saturday from 9:30am-2:45pm, watch participants spin fleece into a shawl in the “Sheep to Shawl” event. Both days include Sheep Dog Demos at 10am using a unique trial course designed by Mendocino County sheep ranchers in 1947, and children are invited to meet (and pet) the different sheep breeds at 11am and 1pm on Saturday in front of the Sheep Barn. Many other events will also be taking place around the fairgrounds.
As always, there be a variety of great food celebrating the lamb industry and the rich agricultural heritage of the region.
Admission is only $5 per person. If you are active military, 4-H, Grange, FFA in uniform, or a kid under 13 you will receive complimentary admission.
