Witness the inspiring story of Malala Yousafzai at this free screening of He Named Me Malala on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Firehouse Arts Center.

PLEASANTON – He Named Me Malala is an intimate portrait of Malala Yousafzai, who was shot and severely wounded by the Taliban as she returned home from school in Pakistan. She had been targeted for speaking out on the subject of girls’ education. After recovering from her injuries, Yousafzai became a leading voice for children’s rights worldwide and is the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize winner.
