The Walnut Festival in Walnut Creek
Thu. Sep 21, 2017 - Sun. Sep 24, 2017$9 - $10
WALNUT CREEK – At the turn of the 20th century, the harvesting of grapes was widely celebrated in the Bay Area with the Grape Festival. Prohibition saw local vineyards transformed into walnut groves and the Walnut Festival was born.
Today the Festival offers family-friendly entertainment, live music, carnival rides and a Kid Zone, as well as showcasing amazing regional artists, craftsmen, designers, jewelers and builders. There will also be specialty foods, a craft beer garden and more.
In honor of 81 years of community service, anyone bringing a canned good for donation will receive a reduced admission of $9. Come celebrate with your neighbors and make a difference.
