Lights of Love Helps Solano Pets in Need
VACAVILLE – The love of an animal can bring comfort and joy into our lives, and in many cases, aid in healing. The gifts that these animals bring to us are priceless, and all they expect in return is to be loved and cared for. Unfortunately, there are often animals that are abandoned or mistreated.
The mission of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Solano County is to find loving responsible homes for every adoptable animal in Solano County, reduce the pet overpopulation, and surrender rates that ultimately lead to high euthanasia rates in municipal shelters.
With your help, the SPCA of Solano County has been able to find loving homes for over 600 animals. We have also performed over 15,000 spay and neuter surgeries, started a free Pet Loss Support Group, and continue our volunteer program that takes animals to visit residents of assisted living homes. We can’t continue these amazing programs without your help.
During the annual Merriment on Main event in Downtown Vacaville on Tuesday, November 29th, from 5-9pm when the 50ft Christmas tree is lit that night, each light on the tree will represent an animal or one that has been helped by “Lights of Love”. All proceeds go directly to the SPCA of Solano County, a 501c3 organization.
Please send your tax deductible contributions by downloading and sending in the form below, visit the SPCA area during the tree lighting, come down and visit the shelter, or make your donation online at solanospca.com.
