Taxes and Traffic: Local Author Proves Health and Gratitude Exists in Nearly Everything
Sunroofs & Shoeboxes: A Journey of Unexpected Health and Gratitude, by local author Jaime Mathews, is a daily exploration to discover that health, gratitude and joy can be found in nearly anything we do or experience, even when it comes to doing taxes, sitting in traffic, and yes, with sunroofs and shoeboxes! Mathews proves that our thoughts are a free and easily accessible resource for bringing about greater joy and experiencing increased health in our lives. And during these unprecedented and unknown Covid times, Mathews thinks that everyone could use a little inspiration and a little hope now and again. Sunroofs & Shoeboxes is available on Amazon.
About the Author
Jaime Mathews has been a writer for over 20 years. Her love for writing began while attending Chico State and writing for the college newspaper. After college, Mathews pursued other business ventures but eventually went back to school and received her Master’s in Holistic Health Education. But her love of writing never left her, so after a few years of a writing hiatus, she put pen to paper once again. This time, she launched and published a monthly healthy living magazine. Mathews eventually sold her magazine, as she was about to embark on her greatest adventure: parenthood. She is the proud mama of twin girls, a toddler boy, and two stepkids. Mathews finds daily gratitude on their little farm in Danville. She and her husband soak up the sun while watching their children living life and spending time with all of their furry and feathered friends. And although Sunroofs & Shoeboxes was written before Mathews was married with children, the content is as relevant today as it was when she wrote it.
