Visit the Rowland Freedom Center, open daily, 10am – 4pm in Vacaville.

VACAVILLE – American freedom and patriotism are the heartbeat of the Rowland Freedom Center. Its mission is to honor those who defend our freedom, to educate future generations about why we’re free and to promote patriotism. Stop by and view unique aircraft, military vehicles and other military items ranging from the Revolutionary War to future space exploration! When you visit this historical museum, you’ll have the opportunity to see planes such as the 1912 Gonzales Brothers Biplane, one of the first aircrafts built in California and constructed by 3 teenage boys in San Francisco; the 1935 Kinner Playboy, a low wing monoplane believed to be the only one still in existence; the 1966 UH-1 Iroquois, a helicopter from the Vietnam War; and many more captivating artifacts.
