Scouting for Food
VACAVILLE/DIXON/FAIRFIELD – In keeping with the Boy Scouts slogan, “Do a Good Turn Daily”, the Scouts have participated in one on the largest food collection efforts, Scouting For Food. The purpose of Scouting For Food exposes them to the high ideals of the Scouting movement through this practical and dramatic experience.
Help the Scouts do a “good turn” by donating non-perishable food items. Please leave your donations in a bag or box in front of your house where it will be visible from the street prior to 8:30am on November 12th. All items collected will be sent to local food banks and stay within our communities.
Scouts will be by to pick-up your donations no later than noon. If your items are not picked up by noon on this day, you can drop them off at the following locations: in Vacaville: St. Mary’s Church, Vacaville FISH, and the Vacaville Store House. In Dixon, the Dixon Family Services.
The Scouts of the Trailblazer District thank you for helping them in this effort.
