The Dixon May Fair returns, Thursday – Sunday, May 8 – 11, 2025, at the Dixon Fairgrounds with fun for all ages.
DIXON – The oldest Fair in California opens May 8-11 with all the excitement of carnival rides, live music, fair food and competition! Plenty of family-friendly entertainment awaits you, including the K-9 Kings flying Frisbee dogs, the Throw Zone, and everyone’s bestie, Flo the Clown. Kids Town America is back with their interactive exhibits that are perfect to give kids a break from the hustle and bustle of the Fair and an AG-tivity area will highlight farming activities.
Find excitement in the Grandstand arena as both locals and visitors enter the Flying U Bull Riding (Friday), Tractor and Truck Pulls, (Saturday), and the Demolition Derby on Sunday. Tickets for these events traditionally sell out, so early purchase is recommended. Live music features Unchained, a Van Halen Tribute, The Summer of Love Band, and the Sunset River Band. Returning are fair favorites the School of Rock, Maya Band, Robby James and the Streets of Bakersfield, and Rhythm Method Trio.
Following Saturday’s parade, the Picnic Lawn comes alive with the return of the Classic Car Show, and on Sunday a lineup of Latin Music featuring Banda Zeta and Banda la 8va Maravilla.
Fair food is a once-a-year treat for most people, and there will be no lack of delicious treats to tempt you–from traditional corn dogs and curly fries to the famous rolled tacos. For most, the fair isn’t the fair without a spin on one of the many carnival rides. Tickets are available online and at the event.
